Our History

OGA South began its story in 1976 at Bell Hall in Papillion, NE as the Omega School of Gymnastics. In 1986, the owners of Omega formed Kinetic Improvement and Development Services, Inc. to expand their offering of recreational classes. In 2017, Jake Christensen took ownership of Kinetic Improvement and in 2018 merged with Omega forming the Omaha Gymnastics Academy. 

OGA North was formerly Premier Gymnastics Academy, which began as the Omaha School of Gymnastics, a non-profit organization, founded in 1976.  It started as a small tumbling class in a dance studio.  Premier had many early homes, most notably Brownell Talbot School and Notre Dame Academy. In 1978, it moved to its 99th Street location and established an excellent reputation for great gymnastics and dance. In November of 2001, owners Tom Koll and Jody Newman moved Premier Gymnastics into what is now OGA North’s present location.

Omaha Gymnastics Academy acquired Premier Gymnastics Academy in August 2023, combining the two prestigious organizations into one. What happens next at Omaha Gymnastics Academy is dependent on the efforts, passion, and dedication of the gymnasts and coaches that make our program great.
