GYM TOTS

Our Gym Tots are children 18-36 months who come into our gym with an adult for a fun-filled 40 minutes/week. Our Gym Tots classes are child directed. Children choose what, when and how to do the activities. Our program is unique in that it includes activities in many aspects of physical education: ball handling skills, locomotor skill development, creative movement, and educational gymnastics skills.  Interaction with other toddlers is also introduced. All of this is done with an adult 19 yrs. or older, close at hand.

Due to different maturity levels of the children, we do not expect all children to have the same attention span. If your child is not interested in an activity and moves on to the next activity, it's okay, just be sure their guardian is with them. If they need to get a drink, or a diaper change, please feel free to leave the class and return when ready.

Gym Tots are eligible to enroll in a KinderGym class when turning 3 years old within the same week of starting class and must be fully potty trained.

KINDERGYM

Our KinderGym program offers co-ed classes for children ages 3-5. This program is designed to aid your child in developing self-confidence, coordination, strength, large motor skills and the ability to participate in group activities.

We concentrate on teaching gymnastics, as well as life skills, using encouragement, and positive reinforcement.

Your little gymnast will be introduced to the basic gymnastics body shapes and skills on Floor, Beam, Vault, Bars, Parallel Bars, Trampoline, Pommel Horse, and Rings.

Our KinderGym is equipped with smaller apparatuses that are the appropriate size for preschool aged children.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Our recreational gymnastics program for girls begins at age 5. Gymnasts will be separated based on one of three levels; Beginner, Advanced Beginner, or Intermediate.

The gymnasts will work on all four apparatuses; Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor, as well as strength and conditioning. Each week gymnasts will work on two events during their 60 minute class.

TRAMPOLINE AND TUMBLING

Our recreational Trampoline and Tumbling program is coed starting at age 5. The tumblers will work on 3 apparatuses: Tumble Trak, Rod Floor and Trampoline, as well as strength and conditioning.

Classes are divided based on skill level. There is Level 1 and Level 2 (Beginner), and Level 3 and 4 (Advanced Beginner and Intermediate).

COMPETITIVE TEAMS

XCEL TEAM

Our XCEL Team is composed of 6 levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire. Gymnasts practice 2-12 hours per week depending on level.

The competition season runs December through May and gymnasts have the opportunity to compete in 4-8 meets, both locally and nationally.

GIRLS DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Our USA Developmental Girls Team is composed of Level 2 through Level 10 gymnasts. They compete for honors locally, regionally, and nationally. Their season goes from January through March, April, or May depending on the level.

GIRLS ELITE PROGAM

Our Elite program includes TOPs, HOPES, and Elite athletes. The goal of our program is to provide a safe and encouraging environment in which our gymnasts can reach the highest level of gymnastics. This program is invitation only.

BOYS TEAM

Our Boys Team competes under the USA Gymnastics Developmental Program Rules Set. It consists of Levels 3 through 10. Our gymnasts train year-round, and competition season lasts from January thru May.

TRAMPOLINE AND TUMBLING

Our Trampoline and Tumbling program consists of 3 events, Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini Trampoline.

In the Trampoline and Tumbling program, athletes will learn how to perform individual competitive routines while building camaraderie with their peers. Athletes can compete each event at a different level which is helpful for competitors who are better at one event than another.

At OGA we compete in USA Gymnastics sanctioned events at the local, regional and national level.
