Kelley Green
Director of Girls Elite Program
Kelley competed as a level 10 gymnast for several years winning level 10 state championships and was named Iowa Gymnast of the Year. She then went on to compete for The George Washington University in Washington, DC. While at GWU she won 4 Atlantic 10 team titles and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team. She was also named captain during her senior year. After earning her BA in psychology from GWU, Kelley went on to earn her Masters degree in counseling from UNO. After earning her license in mental health counseling, she practiced counseling with children, teens and families in a variety of capacities. She worked in an enhanced treatment group home for behavior disordered youth, provided intensive family preservation services, and home-based therapy before retiring to coach full-time.
Kelley has been coaching gymnastics for over 30 years at various camps and clubs throughout the country. She has coached gymnasts of all levels, from beginners to senior elite. Since starting at OGA in 2004, she has coached numerous state and regional champions, westerns and nationals qualifiers, and several scholarship NCAA athletes. She has also qualified several hopes/elite program athletes to Hopes Championships/US Classic. Along with other elite coaches in the nation, she has attended many development camps where she was trained by the USAG National Staff. She has also served on the Nebraska USAG board for 4 years, and she has judged up to level 10 and NCAA. When she is not coaching, Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children.
